About Daisy House Delights
Daisy House Delights, LLC, is owned and operated by me, Brittany Houck. It began when I started making the trendy hot chocolate bombs that I was seeing all over Facebook and Instagram. My kids loved them, and I started making them for friends and family as a hobby. Eventually, you can have enough hot chocolate, so I started venturing into making other candy. I've always enjoyed making fudge and divinity with my mom at Christmas, so I had some experience with cooked sugar candies. I made hard candy, jelly candy, attempted taffy (only succeeded once!), and then MARSHMALLOWS! With input from my family, I started experimenting with different flavorings like Key Lime Pie and Chocolate Cherry, toppings like Toasted Coconut, and different packaging options. After a successful couple of weeks with Teachers' Appreciation Week and Mothers' Day, I decided to sign up for a Farmers' Market so that I could turn my hobby into a small business! I've loved getting to meet local customers and form friendships with other small business owners. It has been precisely the outlet that this stay at home mom needed!
My family is my number one priority, and I am incredibly fortunate to have to opportunity to be a stay at home mother. I worked in the healthcare field until our second child was born. I felt like I wasn't working or mothering to the best of my abilities when I split my time between the two, so we made the decision for me to stay home as long as necessary. Fast forward a few years and another kiddo, and I'm thankful to have this business where I can tailor my involvement around the needs of my family. I can make treats for a birthday party while my youngest two are in preschool. I can prepare for a farmers' market in between loads of laundry. I can play pretend while lollipops are setting up. When you place an order or visit me at a Farmers' Market, know that each product you purchase is made with the utmost care. I genuinely want you to enjoy every treat you purchase from the time you see it to the time you eat it! All products are labeled according to code, and ingredient lists can be requested ahead of purchase. |
Please note that while I do my best to prevent cross-contamination, my products are made in a kitchen that also processes common allergens, such as nuts, egg, wheat, dairy, and soy.
